The energy created onstage was like the hot Santa Ana-like winds that ran through LBI this summer…

or more appropriately the hot steamy air that pours from a crowed jazz bar on Bourbon Street long after midnight.

I was there front row stage left for the Thursday gig (Aug 8) and was able to snap these videos of tearing up some fun cover songs.

With afro-haired Revivalists frontman (David Shaw) the New Orleans funk and rock band Galactic pounded their way through one hellva night of music at The Brooklyn Bowl.

Here is a link at Brooklyn Bowl’s sites with photos and video of the 4 night run they did this August.

Below and above are some shots I found on me iPhone.

KUDOS:

I must say that opening band
“High and  Mighty Brass Band”
has a very special trumpet player.

The Brooklyn Bowl continues to be the number one TBR music venue in NYC metropolitan area.

I would have loved to see Deer Tick play Nirvana at the Bowl in Sept…but it got by me.

It is nice to see Galactic continue moving onward and upward.

Peace. Flap ur wings.
