I just finished getting weekend passes for my annual visit to see all the many wonderful artists and people that participate in the Clearwater Great Hudson River Revival that takes place at Croton State Park along the Hudson River in Westchester County, NY.
Drop me a line (my email) if you are going to be there either Saturday (June 15) or Sunday (June 16). We always have area staked out ontop the hill by the big Hobbit tree (see picture above that I took last year…I am the guy with the big blanket and gallon of 50/50 tequila + grapefruit).
The line-up this year is very exciting in three specific ways!
- I am a longtime Jay Farrar fan and have become fond of the recent Son Volt work. I assume they will be the headliner on Sunday…may play at 5.
- Drive-By-Truckers have two solo acts preforming at the show that were born from its loins… Patterson Hood Band and Jason Isbell.
- Hot Tuna is playing an acoustic set and Jorma is playing electric with Steve Kimock. Two years ago Jorma played at noon on Father’s Day and kicked off a great back to back to back.
Also of note…MR. DAVID F’IN BROMBERG (who plays one of my all-time favorite songs in the universe..click the song above to hear the song while looking through the links shared in this story)…Floodwood, Keller Williams.
Lots of great acts.
