After seeing the line-up my first “hurrah” and cheshire cat smile was for the appearance of Chris Robinson Brotherhood (who by the way has a great live LP collaboration out now with the Grateful Dead’s “Betty Board” Betty Cantor-Jackson.)

Two sets of Umphrey’s McGee on Thursday night has great potential to kick-off the four-day musical tornado.

Obviously a whole bunch of great big names that will be fun to see BUT…some scheduled musicians that tickle my fancy the most include:


Damian Marley (youngest son of Bob)


Sister Sparrow and The Dirty Birds (who by the way is playing Brooklyn Bowl on Fri Jan 31!!)


Jackie Greene (late night set will be delightfully grungy fur (peace) sure)


Blitzen Trapper ( who’se lead singer impressed me at The Last Waltz party thrown by Capitol Theatre)
