Every morning for the last week since parking my ass in New Orleans, I’ve started my day by putting on my running shoes, hitting the pavement….and listening to the debut album from the Hard Working Americans (website).

The album is really (really) good and grown on me in a big way. The band put out a little promo video (click here) which is a nice intro to the music.

A big Widespread fan for two decades, I was initially drawn to purchase the album due to Dave Schools involvement.  The first few listens on my way to the office across the Tappan Zee Bridge… it didn’t excite me, but I stuck with it.

I’m glad I kept with it and have come to love what Todd Snider and gang have done with the songs.  Lots of fun rock tunes with really solid grooves.

Great all-star lineup too!  Love Neal Casal.

“Down To The Well” is my favorite.  Give it a listen (or three)… click here.

Relix (click here) (and a host of other music magazines) have written nice reviews of the album.  Sirius “Jam On” station has been playing the shit (thank u) of the songs as well.

Enjoy.  Can’t wait for them to play NYC.

Flap your wings…friends and neighbors.
