Did you know Lana Del Rey (website) was known as May Jailer and sung with her natural higher pitched voice?


Elizabeth Woolridge Grant has performed under a variety of names before striking a chord with hipster nation as deep voiced Lana Del Rey.


She was Sparkle Jump Rope Queen, before that was Lizzy Grant, before that May Jailer (in 2006).


It is remarkable how this boarding school teen alcoholic has transformed her singing career into a huge success.  


It’s a great story.
