Tony Falco’s super awesome music hall – The Falcon – on Route 9W just north of Newburgh is a must see destination on the Hudson River music club HOF tour. A treat for NYC music fans of many flavors and sizes.

It reminds me of the Fur Peace Ranch music hall at Jorma Kaukonen’s house in Ohio, but with a cool ass bar decked out in carefully curated rock memorabilia. Like Jorma’s… Tony displays Americana-inspired paintings from local artists and has a big beauty grand piano for use by all who take the stage.

Tonight’s show was The The Band Band, one of the most authentic Band tribute bands in all the land.  Read about them here at one of the other choice music halls in the NYC area… The Turning Point of Piermont.

Gary knows how much I love their band, but must share that I was missing Mike Corbin’s second guitar to thicken the sound.

Every community needs a place like The Falcon.

Nyack’s Village Theatre and The Turning Point serve Nyack well. Hudson has Club Helinski, Beacon has Towne Crier Cafe…  A great way to explore the Hudson Valley is through these Americana musical satellites.

BTW, I’ve never seen this and really liked the idea of having a line on the credit card statement for “Artist Donation”. Its a much better way than passing the hat.

Flap your wings… all up and down the Hudson River.

Beware of Headless Horsemen carrying swords and local police hidden at the start of 25 mph zones.
