Walking through Williamsburg Brooklyn I met the Rock and Roll Oracle.


From her magical deck of rock and roller tarot cards she pulled three cards for me in a reading: Michael Jackson (the magician), Jimi Hendrix (the alchemist) and Janet Jackson (the venus). I won’t get into the meaning behind the cards, but will say it provided me an extra hop in my step as I strolled back to the William Vale Hotel.


Not only was the women reading the cards entertaining, but also an artist to boot.  Natalie Mertz designed the cards and guidebook… so many great drawings. 


The cards are not meant to summons the dead (although that would be cool too)… but connecting their musical essence to life’s daily challenges, which sure beats reading fortune cookies.
