Since Charlie Watts died a few days ago there has been lots of great stories about him in the media.

Paul McCartney’s heartfelt selfie video shared on Instagram was a nice nugget.  I find these types of video messages a great way communicate… very fast and personal.

Most of all, I am enjoying listening to a whole bunch of Stones songs from their enormous catalog. 

I was very happy to catch David Fricke hosting an hour on the new Rolling Stones station on Sirius.  Fricke’s story about watching Charlie Watts up-close rehearse his favorite Stones songs “Slave” from Tattoo You struck a chord with me.  Fricke talked about how this song is not only his favorite, but also one of the best songs showcasing the genius of Charlie Watts.
