Within hours of getting notified that The Budos Band (website) was putting on an album release party at the Yonkers Brewery, I bought two tickets and put it on my old school paper calendar.
I didn’t know who would be my plus one, but wanted to use the opportunity to introduce one of my music buddies to the band.
Hastings was my huckleberry.

As typical, we ran into several other music buddies… fellow Green Knight Dr. Roth, Lovin’ and Bruce. The place was sold-out and we had a great time.
They are the epitome of modern evil rock.
Unfortunately, seeing Budos before the sun set low and the crazies crawled out from the shadows was not the right forum to enjoy the band’s deep rooted dangerous rhythms.
I hope that I get another opportunity to bring Hastings under the hood to see what Budos is all about. I will be on the lookout, and, yes, Hastings will be on the hook to join.
Here is a short clip I snapped from the show…
My first meeting with Budos was in the wee hours of the night one at the 2015 Mountain Jam. Click here for that story. They caught me by surprise, and have been smitten ever since.
Below is a clip from that night… see what I mean?
It took seven years before I saw the band again, and this time I brought seven friends to Asbury Park. My gut told me this was going to be special… and it was. In fact, it was one the best shows I have seen.
Here are some clips from my phone…

If you don’t know Budos by name, you will recognize their unique sound. They are featured in the great show The Bear on Hulu. Just make sure to catch them long after dark… on a full moon if possible.
: )
Long live Budos!
